Pasadena and Santa Barbara Urban center Colleges are recipients of the 2022 Chancellor's Student Success Award for their programs to support beginning-year and underserved students in community higher.

More than than 800 new students are enrolled in the Starting time Twelvemonth Pathways program at Pasadena City Higher. Counselors in the program are available daily and are trained to help students identify and reach their academic goals in a reasonable corporeality of time, and to navigate the often complicated first yr of college. Students in the campus's Limited to Success programme take accelerated remedial classes, completing two math classes in one semester, in club to motility rapidly into the college classes that volition lead toward a degree, document or transfer to a iv-year college.
